Stay at the best and cheapest hostel : Early morning on saturday boarded a train to Mysuru with lot of difficulties and adjustments. It was a warm welcome from "The Planned City" with a cool climate. Searching for sagar restaurants, eventually ended up in some restaurant for breakfast. Then we went to the bike rental where we got 2 good maintained bikes, Pulsar and Activa. Then we headed directly to the hostle which we pre booked. The hostel called "International Youth Hostel"  which was very clean and spacious for the price we paid. It was so cheap. Had some rest and started our journey with so much excitement.

Mysore Zoo : One of the most popular places in Mysore. Huge zoo with different varieties of animals and birds. It was really nice to see the plan for avoiding plastics inside the zoo by Mysore zoo organisation. All plastic materials were sealed for Rs 10/- with a token for each of the plastic. Later when we were near to the exit , we showed the token and got the packets unsealed with the return of the same amount we paid. It was a very good initiative by the zoo department.

Karanji Lake :  One of the best lakes in Mysuru. Enjoy boating with beautiful view of birds flying to your top. This lake a.k.a the fountian lake which spreads across huge are with  lush greenery and rich fauna. From this place Mysore zoo and Chamundi hills are near and exactly that is where we went in a sudden plan. This park has a mini bird sanctuary also, where you can see and admire the adoable birds very near.

Chamundi Hills : It started to rain when we were starting to ride all the way to hills. Magical moments -  At the first place, I badly wanted to go to some temple. The fate took us to the temple which is situated at our home(hills). It was the closing time when we reached to the top. By the way, we never had the plan to hills on this day, We asked the security guard at karanji lake about the timings and it was a green signal. Then we decided to go to the hills and visit the temple over there. There was a big crowd waiting to get inside the temple and yet here we are walking like a boss inside, without standing even for a minute. While we planned to go stand in the crowd, the organiser called us, opened the V.I.P gate and let us in. We had no words to speak at that moment. Okay, I could see a smile on my face now, while typing this incident. We went inside with a smile. Just thanked God for everything and came out and stood in a small queue for Prasadham. It was last two packets left and God gave us that blessing too. We came out with a very happy face and went to drink a filter coffee and relax for sometime , thinking what actually happened.

Unknown Park : Ended the day by having some sweet memorable time at the park after the drive for one full day. Seeing the clouds and started remembering our old memories when the clouds morphed into different shapes. Then it's our dinner time in Authentic Punjabi food.

And Yeah, End of the Day.

Day 2 - Sunday

Backdoor to KRS DAM : Started early morning drive to KRS dam.  People out there were our map. Finally,  reached the entry gate to KSR dam and we weren't allowed inside as it was closed. We asked permission for 15 mins as only the locals were allowed and not  the tourists. Then we thought of finding a backdoor to the Dam which took us to an amazing  unusual path and luckily ended very near to the dam. The view was so amazing. The pressure of the water is too high where the water splash can be felt from a long distance. We literally thought it was raining and we were shocked to see it was the splash from the dam.

Less Explored trek path : After giving the bike back to the rental place, It was Ola auto who took us for the destination we planned for. We started visiting local places like museum, Sand art gallery, Haunted house, Sir RK Narayan house till noon. Then we explored a path which was like a mini trek. We closed our eyes and took a nap for 30 minutes, dreaming about the magical moments happened. Then again we started to walk with no idea where we were heading to and what's gonna come next?A shocking surprise? This mini trek took us to a village, later we ended up being at the main road. We felt like, Had a trek from City via a trek path and village and back to city again.

Shuka Vana ~ Rehabilitation Centre for Birds : Stepping on the main road from the less explored path, just opposite of us we saw the Rescue birds sanctuary. These birds were resuced and protected in this place. We were amazed to see the birds obeying the owner, like a trained dog. It was a big sanctuary and worth spending time. Very well initiated and organised. Mobile phones to be switched off and no photos allowed which was truly a good initiative. Then we had a chance to take pics with birds which was particularly for taking photos.

kukkarahalli lake :  After all the local visits, we had the visit to this lake which is located in the heart of Mysore city. A very huge lake of about 5kms. Located very near to the Manasagangotri (Mysore University) campus. At the centre there is an Island where you can see the beautiful view of adorable white birds. Then we walked around the lake while it was drizzling.

The Golden Mysuru Palace : Finally,  the time has come for the moment we have waited for. It was around 6.30 pm we reached the palace from the lake. It was glowing a bit, not fully though. We sat there and sharp at 7.00 pm, the palace started producing sunshines on the people who were waiting to watch. It was around 8.30, all the lights were off in the palace and also in our faces. Finally left Mysuru with a sad smile on the face.
